NBHA
The National Barrel Horse Association, developed by Morris Communications
in 1992, has experienced steady and surprising growth in just
a decade of operation. The international database of more than
55,000 includes both members and horse owners representing all
states in the U.S., plus Canada, Europe, Central America and
South America. NBHA revolutionized the barrel racing industry
by pioneering the divisional format, which allows riders of
all skill levels a chance to win money in barrel racing competition.
Hippodrome
Centrally located near the Georgia-South Carolina state line,
the Hippodrome is a modern facility with Texas-size grounds.
The Hippodrome is also a first-rate facility for the stabling
and care of horses, and it is that way by design. This valuable
community resource also serves as an evacuation center, sheltering
people and animals during hurricanes, floods and other disasters.
