Fairway's Triangle East division covers 33 North Carolina
counties that make up the three designated markets anchored by Raleigh-Durham,
one of the fastest-growing markets in the United States.
Within these markets are several strategic military complexes: Fort
Bragg-Pope AFB in Fayetteville, home of the 101st Airborne STRAC force;
Jacksonville, home to Camp Lejeune MCAF; Cherry Point MCAS in Havelock-New
Bern; and Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro. These complexes generate
in excess of $10 billion annually to this region's economy.
The area comprised of Morehead City to Wilmington, the state's
beautiful beaches and resort areas, supports an expanding tourism
industry. This area continues to develop first-class golf and
retirement communities that rival many on the East Coast.
The total effective buying income of this region grew in 2001
to $57 billion with a household median income of $33,399, making
the region a prime target for major advertisers. Retail sales
in these markets have surpassed $33 billion.
The Triangle continues to grow at an average of 28 percent annually,
with a current population of 1.2 million.
Fairway's full-service outdoor plant with its mix of posters, rotating
bulletins, permanent bulletins and mobile billboards
can meet the put-of-home needs of any advertiser.
